As the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) prepared to launch its proposed "Chalo Sansad" march during the opening of Parliament's Monsoon Session, Delhi Police deployed extensive security measures across central Delhi, citing concerns over public order and the security of the Parliament complex.
Authorities confirmed that no permission had been granted for a march towards Parliament and warned that any attempt to violate restrictions in the high-security zone could invite legal action under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Security Around Parliament Intensified
Beginning early Sunday morning, additional police personnel, paramilitary forces, and rapid action units were stationed across key locations, including:

- Jantar Mantar
- Sansad Marg
- Kartavya Path
- Connaught Place entry routes
Metal barricades were erected at multiple intersections, while vehicle checks and identity verification were increased in areas surrounding Parliament. Authorities also implemented traffic diversions to reduce congestion and maintain security during the Monsoon Session.
Police: No Approval for Parliament March
Senior Delhi Police officials stated that organisers had not received approval to conduct a march towards Parliament.
Officials noted that prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS remain in force in New Delhi district, restricting unlawful assemblies in designated security zones. Police urged participants to cooperate with law enforcement and avoid entering prohibited areas.
Authorities maintained that while peaceful protest is permitted at approved locations, movement towards Parliament without authorisation would violate existing regulations.

Despite the restrictions, CJP organisers reiterated that the movement would remain peaceful.

Delhi Traffic Police issued advisories warning commuters of possible delays near central Delhi due to heightened security.
Motorists were advised to avoid:

- Janpath
- Ashoka Road
- Kartavya Path
- Vijay Chowk
Metro services continued operating normally, although additional security screening was introduced at stations near Parliament.

The protest coincides with the commencement of Parliament's Monsoon Session, when security around the legislative complex is routinely strengthened.
With Members of Parliament, ministers, and senior government officials arriving throughout the day, authorities adopted enhanced security protocols to ensure uninterrupted parliamentary proceedings while managing public demonstrations nearby.
