Bomb threat mails target DRDO facilities in Bengaluru, Udayanidhi Stalin’s son targeted too

A series of alarming bomb threat emails reportedly triggered panic and heightened security across key defence establishments in Bengaluru, particularly those linked to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The threats specifically targeted the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), claiming that 13 cyanide gas-based Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) had been planted within the premises, as per reports.
The emails, reportedly written in Tamil, warned of a coordinated explosion scheduled for 1.10 pm, prompting authorities to immediately initiate evacuation procedures and intensive search operations. As the reports suggest, bomb disposal squads and local police conducted thorough inspections of the facilities, although no explosives have been found so far.
